Welcome to The Bar Cartel. These Terms and Conditions outline the rules and regulations for the use of our website (www.thebarcartel.com) and our services. By accessing this website or booking any of our services, you agree to accept all terms and conditions set out here. If you do not agree to any part of these terms, please refrain from using our website or services.
1. Definitions
- “The Company” refers to The Bar Cartel.
- “The Client” refers to the individual, company, or entity that books or uses our services.
- “Services” refers to all bar services, staffing, event bartending, hire packages and other offerings provided by The Bar Cartel.
2. Bookings
- All bookings are subject to availability and must be confirmed in writing (email or booking confirmation forms).
- A non-refundable deposit of 25% of the total booking fee is required to secure your booking. Until payment is received, the date and services cannot be guaranteed.
- Full payment is required no later than 14 days prior to the event date.
- For bookings made within 14 days of the event, full payment is due immediately upon confirmation.
3. Cancellations
- Any cancellations must be made in writing via email.
- Deposits are non-refundable under any circumstances.
- If cancellations are made 14 days or more before the event date, no further payment will be due.
- If cancellations are made within 14 days of the event, the Client will be liable for the full balance of the booking.
- The Company reserves the right to cancel services in cases of force majeure (natural disasters, extreme weather, unforeseen legal restrictions) or any event outside of our control.
4. Event Details
- The Client is responsible for providing accurate event details, including location, guest numbers and service requirements at the time of booking.
- Any changes to the event details must be communicated at least 7 days prior to the event and are subject to approval and possible additional fees.
5. Liability
- The Company holds public liability insurance for all events.
- The Client is responsible for ensuring the venue complies with health and safety regulations and provides adequate access for staff and equipment.
- The Bar Cartel will not be liable for any loss, injury, or damage caused due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to intoxicated guests, negligence of the venue, or equipment malfunction not caused by us.
6. Breakages, Damages and Loss
- The Client will be responsible for any damages or loss to The Bar Cartel’s equipment, glassware, or property caused by guests, venue staff, or third parties.
- Any costs for repair, replacement, or loss will be charged to the Client post-event.
7. Alcohol Responsibility
- The Bar Cartel operates in accordance with UK licensing laws.
- We reserve the right to refuse alcohol service to anyone who appears intoxicated, underage, or behaves in a disorderly manner.
- The Client is responsible for ensuring compliance with local alcohol licensing laws if a temporary event notice (TEN) is required for the event.
8. Staffing and Timing
- Standard staffing hours will be agreed upon at the time of booking.
- Additional hours beyond the agreed schedule will incur extra charges per hour, which must be settled post-event.
- Staff will arrive at least 1 hour prior to the event start time for setup.
9. Equipment Hire
- All hired equipment must be returned in the condition provided.
- Any missing, damaged, or unreturned items will be charged to the Client at replacement cost.
- Equipment hire is subject to availability and must be confirmed as part of the booking.
10. Complaints
- Complaints must be submitted in writing to info@thebarcartel.com within 7 days of the event.
- The Company will aim to resolve complaints fairly and promptly.
11. Photography and Marketing
- The Bar Cartel reserves the right to take photographs and videos at events for use in marketing materials unless otherwise agreed with the Client prior to the event.
- If you do not wish for any photography to be taken, please inform us at least 48 hours prior to the event.
12. Governing Law
- These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
- Any disputes will be handled in the courts of England and Wales.
